
Ahmadi Community: In Pakistan, even in the month of Ramadan, Ahmadiyya Muslims are not being spared. When the people of this community were in their mosques to offer Friday prayers, the Pakistani police took them away. These incidents came to light at two different places in Pakistan. A total of 45 people were detained. According to Pakistani law, people of Ahmadiyya community cannot call themselves Muslims nor are they allowed to offer Namaz.
Police in Karachi said that they have detained 25 Ahmedia people. According to the police, when these people were in their mosque in Surajani urban area, people of the local Muslim community surrounded them and raised slogans against them. According to police officer Irfan Ali Baloch, several activists of Tehreek-e-Labback Pakistan (TLP) gathered outside the Ahmadiyya puja site and threatened them to stop offering prayers on Friday as it is only for Muslims. Irfan Ali said that the police took 25 Ahmedia people present at the place of worship due to the possibility of a possible attack on Ahmedia people by TLP members.
Case filed on 20 in Sargodha
About 20 Ahmadis were detained in Sargodha district of Punjab province, about 200 km from Lahore, for offering Namaz at their prayer. Here too, due to pressure from TLP, the police had to take action. Sargodha police said that they have registered a case against Ahmadis under Section 298C of Pakistan Penal Code. Please tell that Section 298-C makes those Ahmadis criminals who call themselves Muslims.
Pakistan does not consider Ahmadi people as Muslims
The people of Ahmadiyya community always consider themselves Muslims, but in 1974 the Parliament of Pakistan declared this community non-Muslim. A decade later, he was not only banned from calling himself a Muslim, but also prohibited from following some aspects of Islam. Under the Pakistani law, Ahmadi people cannot do things like making ministers or domes on mosques or writing verses of Quran in public, that is, they cannot do any work that they are identified as Muslims.
