Rajkumar Rao had also shared his wedding video in which not only he applied vermillion on his wife’s forehead, but Patralekha also applied vermillion on the actor’s forehead. Now after three years, Rajkumar has explained the reason for this.
During a conversation with Barkha Dutt on Mojo Story, Rajkummar Rao said, ‘At that moment it was very impulsive, I thought why is she wearing only sindoor, mangalsutra and bangles? I felt that he has to wear so much, I am wearing only the ring, I asked him that you should also apply vermilion to me, it should be equal.
How was Patralekha’s reaction after applying vermilion?
Rajkumar also talked about this, what was Patralekha’s reaction when she was asked to apply vermilion. The actor said- ‘I think she was very happy but both of us were very excited to get married. That moment became huge later, but at the time we didn’t think it was out of the box. She knows me very well and this is something that is expected of me. But I am happy that it touched so many hearts.
The actor was not comfortable with this promise of marriage
The ‘Stree 2’ actor further says that he also paid full attention to the rituals taking place during the wedding. He said- ‘Even during our rounds, we wanted to know what Pandit ji was saying? We asked him the meaning behind each mantra. We were not comfortable with some of the promises taken for Patralekha. For example, in one verse it was said that she cannot be angry at me and I thought that this is not going to happen, this is not valid.
