Cutting a pineapple is not always easy. The trouble? Tough outer skin, prickly eyes and fibrous core. Without a sharp knife and the right technique, it can be a bit of a hassle. That is why many people prefer buying pre-cut pineapple to save time and effort. Recently, Indian vlogger Vaishali Dutt came across a game-changing gadget in a German supermarket. In an Instagram clip, she highlighted an automatic machine that peeled and cored a pineapple in seconds.
“Germany in 2050? Nah, just a regular supermarket. Saw this pineapple machine and HAD to try it. No cutting, no mess, just press a button and boom,” Vaishali captioned the Instagram post.
Vaishali Dutt’s viral video gives a clear look at how the machine works. She starts by placing the spiky fruit into a designated slot and then shuts a small door in front of it. On the side, she positions a clear container to catch the processed fruit.
With the push of a button, the machine gets to work – peeling and coring the pineapple in just a few seconds. The fruit drops neatly into the container, fully prepped and ready to eat – no mess, no fuss.
In the caption, the vlogger also explained how the machine functions. She wrote, “How it works? Grab a pineapple. Place it in the machine. Press start — it peels, cores, and slices it for you. Walk away with perfectly ready-to-eat pineapple.”
The video received mixed reactions online. While some users pointed out that similar machines are available in other countries too, many were impressed by the convenience it offered. However, not everyone found it appealing or necessary.
“I’ve seen something similar in Osaka…orange juice dispensing machines.. so futuristic indeed,” one comment read.
“Detweiler’s market in Sarasota FL has these machines,” read another.
“We have it at our market in Florida!!!” said someone.
“This is so cool … plus a great way for people to eat fruits,” read another comment.
“Wow, that looks like an amazing machine,” exclaimed one.
“Wo,w and you only need this huge, loud and expensive tool for that. Amazing,” remarked one.
“Germany is high bureaucratic country in Europe. Not living in the present digital world. Btw this kind of machines we seen in Japan. When we put a fruit in a machine in Japan-we have option to choose juice or salad,” said another.
