In a world increasingly obsessed with weight loss and achieving the “perfect” figure, social media has become a stage for countless transformation journeys that inspire millions. However, breaking the mould, one man’s humorous take on gaining weight is now winning the Internet.
Instagram user Rahul Sharma playfully documented his journey of putting on extra kilos. Poking fun at his weight, Rahul documented how he went from “irresistible” to gaining 20 kgs.
In what appears to be a reverse psychology joke, Rahul’s video showed his transformation from a healthy body to its opposite, unlike many other transformation videos. Joking that people would laugh at his physique, calling him “handsome, irresistible, smart, and dashing,” and taunting that he could never look like an uncle, Rahul shared that he felt sad and wanted to change things.
And he did prove them wrong!
Following pictures of his fit body, Rahul dropped an epic video of himself, showing him dancing after gaining 20 kgs. “If I can do this, you can do it too..!!! Just believe in yourself,” he joked in a message on the video. Rahul dropped another hilarious comment in the caption, asking his followers to DM “Abe Mote” to receive his personal unhealthy suggestions.
The video left internet users quite amused, with many praising Rahul’s optimistic approach and his attempt at making everyone smile. One wrote, “This actually brought a smile to my face,” while another added, “This is so slay. Commenting again after rewatching! Conceptually brilliant.”
A user jokingly asked for some weight gain tips and added, “Great!! Pass on the suggestions, please. I am also looking for some weight gain. But all the attributes still fit in even if you gain another 20.” Listing out the tips for gaining weight, a user wrote, “Skipping Gym, Eating junk and an Unhealthy lifestyle. It looks so hard, but you did it.”
The video, shared just a few days ago, has already become a hot topic online. With hundreds of comments and widespread shares across social media platforms, it’s spreading smiles everywhere. Interestingly, this isn’t the only clip where digital creator Rahul Sharma pokes fun at his weight gain. In another video, he humorously reflects on how his 32/33-size trousers have now been replaced with size 36. “No dream is too big,” he quips, adding that dreams also come in XL, XXL, and XXXL.
