The latest in line is a video showing a group of women screaming, jumping onto seats, lifting their legs and running to one side of the compartment inside a metro coach.
The disturbance is reported to be caused by rumours of a snake inside the ladies’s coach. While the reptile is not visible in the video, the ruckus captured on camera indicates that the passengers believed they saw one. The actual location or metro line where the incident occurred has yet to be confirmed. The video was shared on Instagram with the caption, “From traffic to wildlife — Delhi never disappoints.”

The footage of chaos inside a Delhi Metro ladies’ coach went viral. Many users dropped laughing emojis in the comments section. Others were concerned about the fear it generated among passengers.
A user joked, “Whenever you get in a tough situation start making video because the cameraman never dies.”
Another wrote, “Welcome to Delhi Metro. Now we have come up with something new to make the journey adventurous and thrilling. Hope you will gonna enioy it.”
“Hey, that’s my boss — be careful! If he dies, we won’t get our salary,” an account joked .
“It must have to go somewhere, too — why panic so much?” read another comment.
“It’s not funny at all,” a user wrote.
After the video went viral, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Friday stated that a baby lizard was found during inspection. Anuj Dayal, Principal Executive Director (Corporate Communications), DMRC, said, “Although the snake is not visible in the video, it is being purportedly claimed that a snake was spotted in a ladies’ coach. Immediate action was taken upon receiving the alert.”
The train was stopped at Akshardham Metro station, evacuated, and sent to the depot for further inspection. “Despite a meticulous check of the train footage and the coach at the depot by the concerned team, no snake was found. However, a baby lizard was spotted during the inspection,” Dayal added.
