
Air India Plane Crash: People lost their lives in the plane crash of Air India in Ahmedabad. Since then, 66 deminere flights of Boeing Company have been canceled. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation said that these flights have been canceled due to technical problems. At the same time, flying at least 13 of Air India has been affected. Air line companies have become more alert after the accident in Ahmedabad.
DGCA said 66 flights of the aircraft Boeing 787 Dreamliner involved in the accident have been canceled, including 83 flights associated with the airline’s widebody fleet. On June 12, the airline operated 90 wide-bodies flights, of which 50 were 787. Six of these were canceled, including five Dreamliner. This is not the first time that flights have been canceled, even before this has been happening. According to the data presented in Parliament, in 2024, due to the problem of technology, Air India canceled about four flights every day.
DGCA gave a clean chit to Boeing 787 flights
DGCA said in a statement that no major security concern has been revealed under the recent supervision of Air India’s Boeing 787 fleet. The aviation regulator said that the aircraft and related maintenance systems have been found to suit the existing security standards. Out of 33 aircraft of the airline’s Boeing 787-8/9 fleet, 4 aircraft are currently being investigated in different maintenance, repair and operation (MRO) facilities.
Airline received this advice on flights
DGCA advised the airline to strengthen coordination in engineering, operation, ground handling units. The impact on the Iranian airspace especially on the closure of the airspace was also reviewed. Cases of flight diversion, delays and cancellations have been reported due to the closure of the aircraft. Operators have been asked to ensure timely communication with passengers and crew members and adopt an alternative routing strategy to reduce disruption.
