Tom Cruise is back to do the impossible, one last time. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning marks the closing chapter of the high-octane franchise that turned Cruise into a global action icon. And while fans are rushing to theatres to catch the film, Amul recently paid tribute to Cruise’s iconic character Ethan Hunt and the Mission: Impossible series in its trademark style.
On Instagram, Amul shared an illustration featuring Cruise in classic Mission: Impossible form—hanging from a helicopter in an all-black outfit. In the brand’s signature twist, Cruise is shown holding the helicopter bar with one hand and a slice of buttered toast in the other. The overlay text on the visual reads, “Better than the rest!” and adds, “Impossibly tasty.”

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning had its big premiere at the Cannes Film Festival last Friday. Soon after, it saw limited releases in countries like India, Japan and South Korea.
At Cannes, Tom Cruise made his starry appearance and also stopped to speak with The Hollywood Reporter. During their short exchange, the journalist remarked, “I’d want everyone to see this movie. Maybe the final reckoning, maybe not, but what…” Cruise cut in with a smile, saying, “It’s the final,” and added, “It’s not called final for nothing.”
Though that sounded like a confirmation, the actor later opened up about his long-term plans. Speaking about his love for cinema, he told the same publication, “I actually said I’m going to make movies into my 80s; actually, I’m going to make them into my 100s. I will never stop. I will never stop doing action, I will never stop doing drama, comedy films — I’m excited.” While Cruise expressed his commitment to acting, he didn’t mention Mission: Impossible specifically in his future plans.
The film is directed by Christopher McQuarrie, who also helmed the previous films in the series. Alongside Cruise, the cast also includes Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Pom Klementieff, Shea Whigham, Angela Bassett, Esai Morales, Henry Czerny, Holt McCallany, Nick Offerman and Greg Tarzan Davis.
Presented by Paramount Pictures and Skydance, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning was released in Indian cinemas on May 17. It is available in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The film is set for a global release on May 23.
