A human being is a strange creature, never quite satisfied with their current situation, whether it’s about their job, relationships, or appearance. There is always a desire for more. Often, people remain unhappy even with the gifts that nature has bestowed upon them. The same was true for an American girl who, despite being naturally beautiful, became obsessed with altering her appearance. Over the course of 12 years, she spent a staggering Rs 58 lakh transforming her face and body to the point where she is now almost unrecognisable.
According to a report by The Sun26-year-old Orilan from Las Vegas, Nevada, looks nothing like she once did. Covered head-to-toe in tattoos, including her eyeballs, Orilan has even had her tongue surgically split in the middle, resembling that of a snake. Numerous piercings further cover her body.
Orilan didn’t always look like this. She recently shared her old photos on Instagram in which she appears naturally beautiful. However, she developed a desire to change her appearance. At the age of 14, she got her first tattoo. Over time, she covered her entire body in ink, underwent eyeball tattooing, and split her tongue through surgery.
Speaking to the Need to Know website, she revealed that many people have told her she should never have altered herself. Still, she believes that her current appearance truly reflects who she is.
Spent Rs 58 Lakh on Body Modifications
Orilan admits she was beautiful before but now feels more in tune with her true self. She thinks about body modifications every day. Astonishingly, she has spent Rs 58 lakh on altering her body in just 12 years. While people often troll her online, calling her a ghost, demon, or witch, she remains unfazed. She believes everyone should pursue what brings them happiness. For her, tattoos and extreme surgeries offer that joy. She said the tongue-splitting surgery was the most difficult, costing around Rs 80,000. Now, she can reportedly taste two different foods at the same time.
