Varuthini Ekadashi 2025: There is a habit of happiness and prosperity in the house of the fasting of Ekadashi and the sins committed in it are destroyed. According to the scriptures, a person who observes Varuthini Ekadashi fast and gets rid of all the sufferings and leads to a happy life. Finally he gets salvation. Varuthini Ekadashi Katha

In ancient times, a king named Mandhata ruled on the banks of the Narmada River. He was extremely charitable and ascetic. One day while he was doing penance in the forest, then I do not know where a wild bear came and started chewing the king’s leg. The king remained absorbed in his penance. After some time, the bear dragged the king to the nearby forest.

The king was extremely scared but he prayed to Lord Vishnu, not anger and violence, begged Lord Vishnu with compassionate manner to protect his life. Hearing his call, Lord Shrihari Vishnu appeared and he killed the bear from the cycle.

The king’s leg had cut the bear. Seeing him sad, Lord Vishnu said: O Watts! Do not mourn You go to Mathura and keep a fast of Varuthini Ekadashi and worship my Varaha avatar idol. Due to his influence, you will become strong organs again. What happened was the sin of your previous birth. King Mandhata fasted by obeying God. Due to its effect, the king soon became beautiful and full organs again. King Mandhata also attained salvation due to the influence of this Ekadashi.
