Ground Zero Release: The trailer of Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi’s film Ground Zero has been released. This film is inspired by real story. In this, Emraan Hashmi will be seen in the role of BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey. The trailer is getting fierce appreciation for Raw Intensity and Ground Storytelling. Now the director has told on the preparations of the film that BSF has also played a role in it.
The ground zero has been directed by Tejas Devaskar. He has told how the Ground Zero team worked with BSF on every small and big details so that the whole truth could be shown in the story. He says that he wanted to show everything closely in the film.
Tejas Devaskar said, “Whenever we make a story or film on the armed forces, we take full care that the information we are showing, the protocol which is seen on the screen, they are completely correct. So we definitely take help of that institution. This time that institution was BSF for us.”
This film is made on Commandant Narendranath Dhar Dubey. Tejas Devaskar said about this, “Dubey sir was associated with us from the beginning. One of his junior binu was also involved in this process. When we were preparing the script, we used to stay in contact with him. Whatever questions were in our mind, we would ask him and he would give us all the information, like he would explain the fine things, which we could include in the story.”
Even though during the script development, the team did a lot of research from books and reference materials, but according to director Tejas Devskar, the real seal was found from Dubey Sir itself. His contribution was not limited to scripting only.
Director Tejas Devaskar said, “We were shooting on the real BSF base in Srinagar, Kashmir. During the shoot, Dubey Sir and his team came on the set several times. BSF also deployed a liaisoning officer with us, who were guiding us all the time how the Soldiers, Operations, their rank and even their greetings should be shown properly.”
Tejas Devaskar, directed about every detail, took special precaution. He said, “We tried our best not to hurt the honor of BSF in any way. His ways, protocols, names, everything is shown very closely. And the biggest thing is that Dubey Sir himself was involved in the entire process, which made us peace that we are going in the right direction.”
The film has been produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. Ground Zero is set to release in theaters on 25 April 2025.
