But we are clearing that we are not allowing this film to be released in Maharashtra because it is a Pakistani actor, we will not allow such films to be released in any situation. We are gathering more information about the film and we will release a full statement soon,”

Reacting to the controversy, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam said, “There is widespread hatred towards Pakistan in India. When any Pakistan film is released, Indian audience does not like to watch it. If some people see it eagerly, Pakistani artists have never been able to achieve widespread success in India.” Sanjay further said, “If the central government has any policy on it, it should be implemented. Pakistani films should be released in India or their artists should be allowed to work here, the government should decide it.”
