MOMO is now going to include instant cup noodles in its portfolio in an attempt to establish its foot in the country’s rapidly emerging FMCG sector. The company aims to make a distinct identity in the noodles industry worth Rs 14,000 crore with many indigenous-ASian flavors like Kho Saye, Thukpa and Chinese BHEL.
2 crore revenue expected from cup noodles every month
According to CNBCTV18 report, Wow! MOMO CEO and founder Sagar Daryani said, this is a very important step that will help the company to pursue its food verticals. It is expected that due to the launch of this new product, there may be a tremendous bounce in the company’s revenue.
Its FMCG business revenue has already seen an increase of 100 percent year after year. Wow! MOMO hopes that the inclusion of cup noodles in its product portfolio will generate a revenue of Rs 2 crore every month. The company aims to generate a revenue of Rs 8 crore every month in this segment within the next two years, which will make it an ARR business of Rs 100 crore.
10 lakh momos will be built every day in Maharashtra plant
Strategic partnership with airlines has further enhanced the reach of brand and product. The CEO of the company further said, “Wow! Noodles are currently available in Akasa Air and Air India Express and will soon be made available in SpiceJet flights. ”Wow to support its fast growing FMCG business! MOMO is investing in its infrastructure. Taloja of Maharashtra is working on a new production unit. 10 lakh momos will be made every day in this plant.
Company can also launch gluten-free momos
Keeping in mind the innovation in its product and keeping in mind the health of the consumer, the company’s plan is to launch gluten-free momos soon. The company is trying hard to increase its scope in the international market as well. Under this, the company has taken entry in the Middle East through partnership with Lulu Group and now wow in many big cities like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Qatar and Oman! Momo’s chains are. The company’s next target is Singapore and Australia’s market.
