200 crore luxury resort will be ready in Jagannath Puri, there will be more than one facility

Jagannath puri: The Jagannath temple of Puri, Odisha, has a influx of devotees from abroad throughout the year. Taking care of this need of pilgrims, a priest of the temple said on Sunday that V Jagannath is going to build a luxurious resort in Puri, which will have 300 rooms. In a press conference here, the priest said, “This resort, which is built on the sea shore, will be completely pure vegetarian and alcohol-free so that the pilgrims coming here can also realize the spiritual comfort with modern amenities.”

Resort will be built 8 km from Puri

It is being told that 200 crores will be spent to build this luxury resort. Sevayat Daityapati Bhavani Das said, Puri is not just a destination, but it is a holy place where divinity meets the ocean. This resort will be a mixed form of spiritual peace and luxury hospitality. It will cost 110 crores to build the ‘Jagannatham’ project. It does not include the expenditure on the purchase of land. Under the Meridian Mist Hotel and Resort, this project will be built on a seven-acre land on the banks of Puri-Konark Marine Drive, about 8 km from the Jagannath temple in Puri.

Luxurious resort will be ready in 2026

The priest also said, the land is mine and there is no conflict of the interests of the Jagannath temple. He said that this resort, which opened in 14-16 months before the 2026 Rath Yatra, is expected to redefine spiritual tourism in Puri, which will attract pilgrims as well as other tourists. The 100 percent ownership on the resort is from the priest and his family, but the project members are also ready to reduce equity based on the response of the program.

This facility will be available under membership

On membership of 3.5 lakh, 5 lakh and 7 lakhs, members will get the facility to stay in the resort three nights every month for five years. The resort aims to add 5,000 members to the initial stage. The resort has many facilities like studio and deluxe cottage, spa, amphitheater, jogging track, tennis court and wellness center.
