EPFO ELI Scheme: The last date for activating the Universal Account Number (UAN) and linking your bank account to Aadhaar is the last date to activate the Universal Account Number (UAN) to avail the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) scheme. The Ministry of Labor and Employment said in the EPFO ​​Circular issued on February 2, 2025, the competent authority has extended the deadline for Aadhaar Seeding in UAN activation and bank accounts till 15 February 2025.

What is UAN?

The Universal Account Number (UAN) is the number of 12 digits given by the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) that is given to both the employer and the employee so that they can give their involvement in the EPF account. With the help of UAN, you can not only track your EPFO ​​account, but can also keep it secure.

What is Employment Linked Inspector (ELI) Scheme?

This is a scheme launched by the central government for employees. In this, the employees who get jobs for the first time are provided direct benefit transfer from the government as one month’s salary. The maximum limit of this amount given in three installments is Rs 15,000. The monthly salary of the employee should not exceed Rs 1 lakh to avail this scheme. This incentive given by the government goes directly to the beneficiary’s account, so it is necessary to be activated UAN number through Aadhaar based OTP and link Aadhaar in bank account.

This is how your UAN number is activated

• First go to Unified EPF member portal unifiedportal-mm.epfindia.gov.in.
• Now you will get the option of Important Link below on the right side. Click on Activate Uan visible here.
• Now fill your 12 digit UAN number, Aadhaar number, name, date of birth, Aadhaar linked mobile number, captcha code.
• After filling the form, click on the check box of the declaration below and then click on the Get Authorization Pin button again.
• Now click on submit button with the OTP in the mobile number link to Aadhaar.
• Once the UAN is activated, a password will be sent to your mobile.
• Now with the help of UAN and this password, fill the captcha code and log in.
• Later, if you want, you change your password. Now your UAN number has been activated.
