Now after the establishment of the new Pay Commission, the process of constituting the Eighth Pay Commission will be started as soon as possible so that the basic pay, allowances, pension and other benefits of the Central Government employees can be revised.

Who will be included in the 8th Pay Commission?

The Central Government is soon going to appoint the Chairman and 2 members of the panel of the 8th Pay Commission and the committee formed from it will give its suggestions regarding the changes in the pay scale of the central employees, after which the decision on the pay matrix will be taken.

When will we get the recommendations of the 8th Pay Commission?

This panel will start its work as soon as the 8th Pay Commission committee is constituted and will have about 11 months to submit recommendations to the government.

What is the work of Pay Commission?

Pay Commission is constituted to determine the salary of central government employees and pension of former employees. Recommendations are prepared by the Pay Commission after considering inflation, earnings and many other factors. The Pay Commission also prepares the formula for determining other allowances including Dearness Allowance (DA) for employees and Dearness Relief (DR) for pensioners.
