Nithin Kamath, the co-founder of Zerodha, took a trip down memory lane and shared photographs with his school friends on social media, saying friendships were built on “pure connection, free of judgment, are the ones that stand the test of time”.

On Sunday, Kamath shared two photographs on X, featuring some of his closest friends. The post has since gone viral on the social media platform, garnering more than 42,000 views.

“Friendships built on pure connection, free of judgement, are the ones that stand the test of time. Spending almost 30 years with my school friends, and now our families, makes me realize how lucky we truly are. K2, Normal, Chubby, excuse me for sharing it on social media,” he wrote alongside the images.

In one of the two images, Kamath is seen posing with his friends next to a pool, while the other image has a sea in the background.

The candid post resonated with several users on social media and offered a glimpse into his personal life. Soon after, many flooded the comments section with admiration, while some shared their personal experiences.

A person said that the friendships made in schools or colleges were for a “lifetime”. Another person shared that true friends were “powerful medicine that can cure loneliness, hopelessness, emotional stress.”

Earlier, Kamath, on January 3, sparked a social media debate after he shared the wisdom of Edward Thorp, a 92-year-old US-based mathematician and professor, on longevity.

“This is brilliant advice from the legendary Edward Thorp, who at 92 is still going strong. The only longevity expert you need to listen to,” Kamath wrote and shared a link to an article detailing Thorp’s diet and anti-ageing tips.

On his “approach to longevity,” Thorp called for a balanced approach to living a long and healthy life.

Kamath co-founded Zerodha along with his brother in 2010. Over the years, it has emerged as one of the largest trading platforms in the country with more than 10 million users.

According to Forbes, Kamath has a total net worth of around $3 billion. In 2021, Kamath broadened his entrepreneurial portfolio and co-founded a venture capital firm, Gruhas.
