In 2015, there were 1 billion 80 crore Muslims, which can reach three billion in the next 36 years. That means, in the 45 years between 2015 and 2060, the Muslim population is expected to increase by 70 percent. The reason for this is that the fertility rate of Muslim women is the highest, whereas in other religions on an average a woman gives birth to two children, whereas among Muslims on an average a woman gives birth to three children.
