‘Less children are being born in Japan’, government has come out with a formula, employees will get leave

Japan News: The birth rate in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, is continuously decreasing. In such a situation, a new initiative has been started to improve the birth rate i.e. fertility rate. The rule of four working days will be implemented in Tokyo from next year. According to this rule, people will have to work only four days a week.

This has been announced by Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike. He said that from April next year, government employees will have the option to take three days off in a week.

For this reason this step was taken

In the last few years, it has been seen in Japan that people leave their careers midway to raise children. Because of this many people do not even have children. Due to this reason the fertility rate of the country has become very bad. To improve this, the local administration is adopting many new methods.

Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike said, “During this period, we will bring more flexibility in the way we work. We will do our best to ensure that no one has to give up their career because of giving birth to a child or taking care of a child.” This initiative is to encourage the birth of children among the Japanese people.

Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike said this

“Now is the time for Tokyo to take the initiative to protect and enhance the lives, livelihoods and economy of our people during this challenging time for the country,” he said. He has announced another policy. Under which, parents of children of classes one to three in primary schools will get the option to take early leave by paying some part of their salary.

Fertility rate is continuously falling

Japan’s fertility rate has been declining rapidly for many years. Another record low was reached in June this year. Whereas the government was intensifying efforts to encourage youth to get married and start families. According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, only 727,277 children were born last year. The Japanese government is pushing for “now or never” policies to address the population crisis.
