What percentage of Indians believe that ‘there is no inflation’? Big revelation in IPSOS report


Ipsos Cost of Living Monitor survey: Indians are worried about the impact of inflation on their food plates. Because of this they can spend less on the necessities of life. Due to this fear and some other reasons, their expenditure on living needs is not increasing. This has come to light from the Ipsos Cost of Living report. Indians fear that food prices, household shopping, fuel and going out will all become expensive next year. More than 62 percent of the people included in the Ipsos Cost of Living Monitor survey for November 2024 have expected an increase in food prices.

Cost of living reduced due to government schemes

Amit Adarkar, CEO, Ipsos India, said that free ration for the poor, subsidy in government-run pharmacies, keeping oil prices under control, Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, etc. have improved the quality of life for the economically weaker people and the general public. Cost impact has been reduced. 19 percent of the people surveyed said that they are living comfortably. 34 percent said that their life is fine, 20 percent are managing somehow and only 22 percent said that they are facing difficulty in living.

45 percent do not expect relief from inflation

According to the report, 45 percent people do not believe that inflation will ever come down. While 20 percent people expect inflation to stabilize after next year, 12 percent people expect the situation to become normal within a year. Nine percent people believe that it will stabilize in six months, six percent people believe that it will stabilize in three months, and seven percent people believe that it has already stabilized. Most urban Indians, 54 percent, expect inflation to increase further next year.
