‘Don’t trust rumours…’ Singapore Police’s statement on singer Zubeen Garg’s death case, know



Singapore Police Force (SPF) has issued a statement on the rumors and misinformation spreading regarding the death of famous singer Zubeen Garg. Police have made it clear that the investigation is still going on and at present there is no suspicion of any suspicious activity or conspiracy.

According to SPF, the case of Zubeen Garg’s death is under investigation under Singapore’s Coroners Act 2010. Initial investigation has not revealed any foul play i.e. murder or conspiracy.

‘It may take up to 3 months to complete the investigation’
Police said that it may take up to three months to complete the investigation, after which the report will be submitted to the State Coroner of Singapore. The coroner will decide whether a formal Coroner’s Inquiry is needed. This means a judicial process, in which the real cause and circumstances of death are confirmed. Singapore Police said the results of the report would be made public.

Do not believe in rumours- Singapore Police
Although the investigation is still incomplete, the police said that on October 1, 2025, a copy of Zubeen Garg’s postmortem report and preliminary findings were handed over to the High Commission of India on his request. SPF has appealed to the public not to believe in rumours.
