A shocking video from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, shows a woman sitting on the fuel tank of a moving motorcycle while hugging the rider. The clip, captured by bystanders and widely shared on social media, prompted police to issue a challan. The incident has reignited concerns about reckless driving and road safety.
In the video, the man was seen wearing a helmet, while the woman was sitting in a risky manner on the fuel tank as they rode through the Ramgarhtal Road in broad daylight. According to a report by PTI, police on Saturday said that the couple is yet to be identified, but a challan of Rs 2,500 was issued for violation of traffic rules.

In a statement, SP Traffic Sanjay Kumar said that the motorcycle was traced by police, and the challan was issued to the rider.
The viral video drew sharp reactions online, with many users slamming the couple for endangering not only their own lives but also those of others on the road. One of the users said, “Nowadays, the youth are ready to do anything to become famous. When the police impose heavy fines for violating traffic rules, the feeling of romance will disappear between the two. Then they will forget to romance on the road.”
“This shameless couple is breaking traffic rules and nothing else,” added the other. “I sometimes wonder, are they really born in simple families, or do they come from some different planet and don’t know how to live a decent social life?” commented the third one.
This is not the first incident of its kind. Just last month, police acted on a viral video from Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, where 24-year-old Nazmeen Sulde was seen dancing barefoot on the bonnet of a moving Mercedes-Benz. The clip, which quickly spread across social media and triggered outrage, showed Sulde recreating the popular “Aura Farming Dance” trend—originally inspired by an Indonesian boy who danced on a moving boat during a race—while her boyfriend, identified as Al-fesh Shaikh, drove the car.
