While children’s tales are often dismissed as fantasy, the situation becomes more unsettling when a five-year-old child starts detailing their past life. Take, for instance, the case of a young boy who confided in his mother about his previous birth, claiming to have vivid memories of it, including his death in a fire.
In 2015, a five-year-old boy named Luke Ruehlman shared a startling story with his mother. He claimed that in his past life, his name was Pam, and he was a girl born in Chicago who tragically died in a fire in 1993. He even described Pam’s appearance, stating that she had black hair and wore earrings.
The boy’s mother noticed that he frequently used the name Pam. Upon inquiring about Pam’s identity, her son revealed that Pam was who he was in a previous life. He explained that after dying in his previous birth, he ascended to heaven, where he encountered God. God then sent him back to Earth, where he was reborn as a boy.
The mother, who subsequently appeared on a television programme called “The Ghost Inside My Child”, admitted that she initially dismissed her son’s account of jumping from a building during a fire. However, curiosity got the better of her, and she decided to investigate online. To her astonishment, she discovered that a fire had indeed occurred at the Paxton Hotel in Chicago in 1993, claiming the lives of 19 people.
Among the deceased was Pamela Robinson, who lost her life after jumping from a window. The mother managed to obtain a photograph of Pamela and left it among some discarded papers. To her surprise, Luke discovered the photo. As time passed, Luke’s memories of his alleged past life gradually faded, and he resumed a normal life.
