Telugu cinema gave 2 blockbusters- ‘Mad Square’ and ‘Sankrantik Vastunam’
- This year, Telugu cinema’s first blockbuster film Venkatesh’s’Sankrantik Objects‘ Bunny. It was prepared for 50 crores according to Sixelk and the film’s earning in India was Rs 186.7 crore and worldwide was Rs 255.2 crore.

Tamil cinema also gave 2 blockbusters- ‘Tourist Family’ and ‘Dragon’
- This year was the first blockbuster film ‘Dragon’ from Tamil cinema i.e. Kollywood, which earned 101.34 crores in India and worldwide 150.52 crores. According to the Times of India, the budget of the film was only 36 crores.
- This was followed by the second blockbuster named ‘Tourist Family’. The film earned 60.75 crores in India and worldwide 86.25 crores. According to the film’s budget Times of India, it was only 7 crores.
Two blockbusters of Kannada cinema- ‘Mahavatar Narasimha’ and ‘Su from So’
- If seen, this year was completely of Kannada cinema i.e. Sandalwood. Two low budget films shook the entire box office. On the one hand, ‘Mahavatar Narasimha’ came, which was built for just 40 crores, earned 249.2 crore in India and worldwide 324.9 crores.
- On the other hand, even this small budget film ‘Su from So’ came, which was made in just 3 crores. It did a business of 90.68 crores in India and Rs 121 crore worldwide.
Add the worldwide collection of these 10 films, it reaches Rs 2797.03 crore i.e. a little away from Rs 3000 crore.
