
Iran Israel War: 110 Indian students trapped in Iran have reached Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. Most of these students are from Jammu and Kashmir. These students are from Urmia Medical University. The students were to fly to Delhi late Wednesday evening via Armenia and Doha. His flight also reached about 3 hours late.
In view of the ongoing war between Iran and Israel, the Government of India started ‘Operation Sindhu’ for a safe return of Indian citizens trapped in Iran. Under this special operation of the government, 110 Indian students stranded in the northern part of Iran were evacuated safely. These students were transported from Iran to Jerewan, the capital of Armenia by road under the supervision of the Indian Embassy. They have come to Delhi by this route.
Indian students reached Delhi by special flight
All the students left for India on a special flight at 2:55 pm on Wednesday and reached New Delhi on Thursday morning. This operation is the first phase of Sindhu. The Government of India has expressed special gratitude to the governments of Iran and Armenia for cooperation in this entire campaign, which helped in making the rescue operation easy and safe.
Due to the deteriorating situation in Iran, the Indian embassy is constantly trying to send Indian citizens from war affected areas to safe areas. Along with this, the Government of India has issued an emergency contact number, WhatsApp number and email ID from where people can take help.
